The International Swingers - News 2016

We are happy to announce the release of our self titled album The International Swingers.

It’s taken a while because of everyone’s busy schedules but we hope you agree it’s been worth the wait. Often a band will dedicate two, three or more weeks to record an album but not The Swingers; we’d literally have a day or two between our tours and Clem whizzing off to play with Blondie or James gigging with The Cult or Holy,Holy. For two of the tracks ( Can you guess
which ones ? ) James, Clem and I recorded our parts in LA then sent the files to Glen in London to over-dub the bass. Most of the recording took place at SkyLab studio and The Foo Fighter’s 606 in Los Angeles and was produced by the band and Tommy Dietrick and mixed by Pete Walsh.

It’s often said that getting the Swingers all in one place is like herding cats but it was all made possible by our loyal fans and friends who jumped on our PledgeMusic rock-n-roller-coaster and helped raise the funds to get the record completed.

Gun Control will be released as a single on 7” vinyl for Record Store day in April followed by The International Swingers album in May but signed 7”s and CD’s + the new ‘Out of Control’ t-shirt are available right now from our website shop.

The cover photo of the album, taken by Greg Jacobs, is featured in the soon to be released movie London Has Fallen. Keep an eye out during the Time Square scene.
